My New Favorite Local Band - Davisson Brothers Band

Posted by Bucky in West Virginia, music

They hail from Clarksburg, WV, and they are great! There first ever single, Big City Hillbilly, has been released, and is getting some airplay on some of the local stations here. From what I have heard other people say, they love the single.

The second video doesn’t really do them justice. The studio recording of the same song sounds superb. I love to see a couple of West Virgina boys finally getting their dues.

I wonder though, who picks up their health insurance premiums? Are artists like that self insured, or does the record label take care of them?

I like it. They remind me of the Hank III style of country - not the slick, overproduced pop Country we mostly (unfortunately) hear today.

The 2nd video doesn’t really do them or that song justice. They have a stream on their website with the studio version, and it’s got a great sound to it.
