Cereal And Milk

Posted by Bucky in Health, Home Life

When you eat cereal, do you drink or leave the milk in the bowl?

Logic tells me that most people, when in the privacy of their own homes, will simply pick up their bowl and suck their milk down quickly, soon after polishing off their cereal. What concerns me is what people do with their milk when they are out in public? Not children either, we’re talking adults here.

Let’s say I’m on a business trip and I have to go to a breakfast meeting with several co-workers and management personnel. The breakfast meeting is at the hotel where the breakfast is free. The free breakfast consists of the usual items: Donuts, Bagels, Waffles, and Cereal. I’m a cereal kind of guy, so I grab a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios and take my seat at the table. Everyone else seems to be eating donuts (there’s a nutritional breakfast for ya) except for me.

As I finish my cereal, I begin to wonder what I should do with the milk. I don’t think that tipping the bowl up to my face and sucking the milk down would be very polite, I just wouldn’t feel right getting a straw and using that to drink the milk out of my bowl… that’s just weird, and I would feel terrible (and wasteful) if I just threw the milk in the trash.

What’s a guy to do? What is the proper thing to do in this situation?

I always used the spoon in public, lol. took forever, but it stopped the waste without being somewhat of a rude a*s. or, i would just cram down the doughnuts. works like a charm.
