I had the ol’ snip snip, and it wasn’t too bad mind you. I am still sitting around taking it easy, but the pain is next to nothing. Whatever drugs the good Doctor prescribed me, well…  I like ‘em! They numb me pretty good, and don’t make me drowsy at all. In fact, I find myself quite antsy from all the sitting around. I have used the time to get caught up on a lot of the programming recorded on my DVR.

I am currently getting up to speed on the following shows:

• House
• Ghost Hunters
• Mythbusters
• Dirty Jobs
• Friday Night Lights

I also have a few movies recorded that I need to watch. I can’t quite remember what those are though.

That’s all I have to say for now, this computer chair is makin the ol’ sack hurt a little bit, and it’s time for me to take another pain pill.

WTF?!?! I’m sitting here minding my own business. I take a brief sip of water and instead of drinking it I breathed it in. The ensuing events can only be described as absolutely horrific.

Not wanting to spew water and saliva all over my monitor and keyboard, I “wisely” stifled the initial cough only to discover my mistake too late. That initial cough would surely have freed me from the inevitable catastrophe that was to follow. I started coughing uncontrollably, and then the wretching started, followed by more uncontrollable coughing…deep coughing, like into your small intestine coughing.

As I realized that I was passed the point of no return, I turned away from the computer. I could only think of the pizza I had eaten, and how it closely resembled a teen acne treatment gone bad. At that point, the pizza I had for dinner made a round trip from my stomach into my mouth and back…delightful. The best part is that not all of it made it back down. I had a decision to make and not a lot of time to make it…spit the chunks on the floor or swallow them back down after collecting them one at a time with my tongue. I chose the latter. Not even Chef Boyardee can make a pizza that tastes good twice…I’m here to testify.

MTV appears to be going back to its roots. Somewhat. MTV Music is a website that is new, clean, and has piles of music videos. All of which are embeddable in your favorite website or blog. I will prove this point by embedding one of my favorite videos of all time. “Warning” by Green Day. This video makes me laugh every time I see it.

I found these paper mache pumpkins, and they are awesome. When the kids get a little older, we are going to have to try this.

Let me take you back a few years now. Remember the famous WASSSSUP video? If you were alive and on the internet about 8 years ago, you probably couldn’t have missed it. It was one of the first big internet hits that I can personally remember. (That and something about some golf balls.) If I could have one job for a day, I think it would be CEO of a large corporation.

I have this notion in my head that CEO’s generally don’t do much work, instead living a pampered lifestyle and just collecting large paychecks and vacationing a lot. I’d really like to be a CEO for a day so that I could compare this notion to the accounts I’ve read of CEOs working 60-70+ hour weeks. I am very curious about the type of work a CEO does in a day, and how it compares to the work I do on a daily basis. The issues they deal with, and number of issues they have to confront in a given day, is also very interesting to me.

I think having the opportunity to be a CEO for a day would really give me some valuable perspective on life, employment, and in general, serve as a nice reality check to contrast the notions in my head that I suspect are greatly unfounded. Perhaps I would be better off as an Asgi shoes salesman.

If you were given the opportunity to have any job for just one day, what would it be, and why?

As I had mentioned in a previous post, I have been working on making a video of the town that I live very close to. This hometown video was fun to make and I learned a lot in the process. It wasn’t as hard as I figured it was going to be, although there were a few bumps along the way.

As the saying goes, let’s see a little less talk and a lot more action. So, I present to you, a quick trip through my closest town.
